Arts Advocacy Day 2010 - D.C.

TALK TO YOUR COUNCIL MEMBER ABOUT ARTS IN THE DISTRICT!
BE A VOICE FOR THE ARTS IN D.C.!

On Arts Advocacy Day, Wednesday, March 3, 2010, teams of 3 Arts leaders visit each policy-maker's offices, adding their personal understanding to the agenda developed by the DC Advocates for the Arts over the course of the year. 

Meetings on Arts Advocacy Day last 15-30 minutes and create an opportunity to focus the attention of our city Council Members on the Arts. 

Spaces for participation are limited.  Participating arts leaders and supporters will also attend one of two prep meetings with members of the steering committee for an overview of the current issues and guidance on how to talk with your council member about arts advocacy in the District. Those participating will choose one of the two 1-hour prep meetings: Wednesday February 24th, 10:00 a.m. and Thursday February 25th, 5:30 p.m. (Location to be announced.)
